BIKES & PARTS MAKE OUR WHEELS GO ‘ROUND!

The Trips for Kids Community currently operates five ‘ReCyclery’ Community bike shops that help support their local youth cycling programs. These independent shops are more than just bike stores; they keep used bikes out of landfills and provide affordable, environmentally-friendly modes of transportation.

MORE THAN A USED BIKE STORE

How does it work? Bikes, parts and supplies are donated by community members, bike manufacturers and retailers. Since we are nonprofit, donations are tax-deductible. The bikes and parts are then given to students who earn them, sold to the public during store hours, or recycled for parts.

GIVING BIKES A NEW LIFE

Our specialized volunteer or paid mechanics and trained youth refurbish and spruce up donated bikes and parts so they can be resold at discounted prices. All profits made from these sales go back to support our youth biking programs!

A COMMUNITY RESOURCE

Recyclery Community Bike Shops are often the location of our Earn-a- Bike workshops, and provide a safe, positive after-school environment for kids and community members to meet, work and socialize.

HELPING THE ENVIRONMENT

Our Recyclery Community Bike Shops around the country keep thousands of bikes out of landfills each year and provide affordable, environmentally-friendly modes of transportation for community members.
